Currently works as an editor with a local publishing company. Experience in the print and digital media extends beyond 15 years now. My hope of publishing my own work some day became a reality when my brother’s submission and me was picked by MDA in its First Time Writers and Illustrators Publishing Initiative. I have a collection of short writings, mostly children’s stories waiting to be published. I enjoy writing poetry as well. I am inspired by poets like Jalaluddin al-Rumi, Kahlil Gibran, Saadi al-Shiraz etc.

Technical Officer with NeWater. I started drawing seriously only for the past 10 years. I am working my way towards becoming an accomplished illustrator and all this through self-learning – by reading books and now, surfing the Internet, sieving through the vast information that is available. My first big break came when I joined a group of cartoonists. The group published Singapore’s first Malay comic, Tak Kering Gusi. With the same group of cartoonists plus several newcomers it went on to publish two more projects – Gelak Khas and Gelak Khas II. The group was called kARTunIS.
A couple of appearances on Suria followed. The first was a magazine programme – Seri Ramadan. I did a demonstration on how to make a Hari Raya greeting card. The next appearance was on TGIF – doing a 'live' caricature of the hosts Sharon Ismail and Adi Rahman. <>But my most cherished moment, as a cartoonist was my participation in Singapore’s first ever cartoon exhibition, Kartunique. The momentous event took place at Taman Warisan Melayu. I would like to convey my gratitude to Pak Sarkasi Said for having the faith in us to hold the exhibition.
